Laser brightening
Face, neck, or both in 45 minutes, once a month for 3 months, with Donna Starnes at Salons By JC on Custer Road in McKinney.
What makes skin look dull
Tired-looking skin is rarely one big problem. It is usually a handful of small ones stacking up: fine lines around the eyes and mouth, patches that feel lightly textured under your fingertips, pores that have grown easier to see, and a general loss of the lit-from-within tone you remember having.
Laser brightening is the gentle treatment built for that exact group of concerns. It smooths fine lines, refines lightly textured areas, minimizes pores, and restores a healthy, radiant glow, all with the same Candela fractional non-ablative laser Donna uses for her deeper work.
Non-ablative means the laser is not taking off layers of your skin, so there is no stretch of weeks hiding at home. Brightening is also quick and comfortable, and it is suitable for all skin types, so the same treatment can be set to fit very different skin.

How a brightening session runs
Each visit is 45 minutes. A face and neck session is $200, face only is $150, and neck only is $150, and you pay per treatment rather than for a block up front. The usual rhythm is once a month for 3 months, though Donna notes that the number of treatments depends on your skin type.
Before anything starts, Donna gathers the information she needs for her medical records and her medical director, and treatment begins once a medical professional has approved it. She then sets the laser for your skin specifically, because she personalizes the settings for each person instead of running one program on everyone.
The work happens upstairs at Salons By JC on South Custer Road in McKinney. When the pass is done she applies a cooling enzyme and sunscreen. Mild redness and puffiness for a couple of hours is normal, and now and then it lingers for a day.
Keeping the glow
Skin keeps changing after you leave the chair. It takes 4 weeks for a session to count as a treatment, because the old skin is still purging out while new collagen builds underneath. Donna's own line is that time is your best friend, and it explains why monthly spacing works better than rushing.
If you want more than the face, there are two brightening packages. Face, neck and hands is $600, and face, neck, hands and chest is $1,000, both booked as 120 minute visits. Everything else on the menu stays priced per treatment.
Once your 3 months are done, she builds a customized maintenance program so your results keep looking their best. The cooling enzyme and sunscreen at the end of every visit belong to every visit, and sunscreen is the habit worth keeping between them.
Jennifer Pickering, five stars on Google, after her initial treatments and a couple of maintenance sessions: “my face looks brighter, my skin is tighter and it made my pores smaller.”

Where brightening sits in Donna’s menu
Brightening is the lightest of her three treatments. If your concern is deeper, such as sun spots, raised scars or stubborn texture, look at laser resurfacing and building collagen. If breakouts are the issue, her acne treatment bundles four sessions into one price. Every figure is also set out on the pricing page, and her clients’ own photos sit on the before and after page.
Booking takes a minute online, or you can call or text Donna and ask which area and schedule suit your skin.
